The Mets are leading the Dodgers 13-8 in the bottom of the 8th. Apropos of former Met and current Dodger Jeff Kent, who, despite looking like a California surfer dude, and despite actually having been born and raised in California, lives in Texas in the off-season, the broadcast team of Gary Cohen and Ron Darling got into a riff about how you don't have to have been born in Texas to think of yourself as a Texas. Cohen presented an analogy: "like a certain family from Connecticut that now lives in Texas." "And summers in Kennebunkport?" Darling asked. "Yeah, them", Cohen replied, in a tone of utter contempt. And they went back to the play by play. The Dodgers now have two on and two out.
